FH Build | A Fresh Start

As all of you know, our last GDB ended up dead in the waters like a turtle on it’s back. Literally. In the final outing with the car, something on the car broke leading to me smashing into the wall. Luckily, we were able to salvage a good deal of parts from the car and engine, miraculously, suffered little damage from the collision. It was a major relief when the engine was lifted and our boys managed to get the EZ36 back together.

We managed to get this new Subaru without paying full price from our local dealer. What a relief! Subaru, our sponsor, has given us a second chance with them and has given us this new GDB. Now that we have the car and the engine, all that’s left to do is get everything else on the car, test it, and get some visually appealing additives on the car.

Plankton drove the other Impreza to show me that he is way ahead of me with his car, and although this really isn’t a competition, I’m making it one. I really love how it looks now and his ideas for it in the future. Even though the cars will end up looking the same, I’m going to do all that I can to make sure that this car is in tip-top shape before his so I can gloat. Maybe it’s a little childish, but what’s hard work without a little fun involved?

PhotoComp | Kemuri’s 32 man knockout Photo Competition | 10 Million CR

|32 Man – Knockout Photo|

Okay, so as of late, all you’ve been hearing of is, ‘drift, drift’drift.’ That’s it. But from SJD Kemuri things are going to heat up quickly from behind the camera lens, and not the steering wheel. We’ve seen Kemuri host competitions in the past and they have all been successful, but he has taken his host’s skills to a different genre’ of Forza’s playing field.

He’s hosting a 32 man – Knockout Photo Competition. Similar to a drift event/tournament, every photographer will face off against another photographer, while both are given a theme to go by. Here are the better explained rule-set from Kemuri himself.

” Hey guys im starting a 32 man knockout-style photo competition! 32 places are available (obviously) with 3 reserve spots (its first come, first serve basis!). Every week a competitor will go against another random opponent and attempt to justify the thematic criteria proposed by me (e.g Speed) and then are judged by me and other non-partisan individuals. The thematic criteria for each week will be posted at the start of each week and will go on for 5 weeks (32 to 16 to 8 to 4 to 2). The themes that are given are yours to explore, you aren’t restricted by a pre-designed idea of what I or any other judges think that best defines the theme ”

So there you have it. Here are the weeks, and the themes. For Wk. 1, you can see that it will be detail. Now something that comes quick to mind, is a lot of zoomage in the shots. Have fun, but remember go by the criteria! Good luck!

Week 1 – Detail

Week 2 –

Week 3 –

Week 4 –

Week 5 –

1st prize – 10 million cr

2nd prize – 5 million cr

3rd place – 2.5 million cr

Random Snap | TDK Gypsy

It’s like he never left. TDK Gypsy is back and going stronger than ever. He was spotted in the U.K. at Silverstone doing some laps. He is slowly getting back in the groove, but honestly, he doesn’t have far to go. Welcome back, Gyp!

FH:Build | Lookin’ like New

It’s back! And it’s looking 20x’s better than before! I drove it out of the parking lot, and straight to Tiger’s house, and he was just in awe. We honestly were a bit shaky with the outcome as we didn’t know much of the garage, only what people have informed us about. The Subaru looks stunning to say the least. The rest of the staff was happy to see the car back in the hands of our shop also.

After what happened with the other 04′, we are just happy to be able to keep this one. We’ll hit you with an update on that ride in a later post.

Here’s how the Subaru looks now. Our set of Enkei RPF-1’s came in the day before! We through those on and the car looked so different! We weren’t expecting them to arrive so soon, and the match with the white coat is just amazing. We’ve taken the car to New York to allow some of the guys from some other blogs take a peek at it.

I was so tempted to take the car out on the track, but we had already agreed with the track staff of New York that we were there purely for photo reasons. Hopefully next time, we could work something out with them to let us see what our Scooby can do with the stock parts and such.

Good news is our springs we ordered should be in next week! We’ve decided to go with Tein Springs and hopefully they can give the car the stance we were looking for to match the Enkeis. Well, that’s all for now, be looking out for an update later in the week!

Car Feature | Dgkoe R34

Among all of the community R34’s that we come across, this one has got to win the award for keeping it clean. Skylines usually have epic paints splattered onto the sleek ,sharp surface of them, but this owner decided to keep his prize different. Dgkoe is in charge for making this stellar machine. Not quite sure if this thing was properly set up to drift, but with that sweet roll – cage, it’s set up to do something. His metallic coat matches the diverse will very well.

With such a sweet stance, this vehicle is definitely a good target for any photographer looking for some quality piece of art to snap photos of.

Car Feature | KaiiFox Sr

I’ve been reading through the SYDC, and I’m almost certain that no one has a TS S15 quite like this one. His simplistic, dark red matches his burnt orange set of wheels. His minute amount of logos gives his a nice look to the personal drifter. He has bought a nice set of bumpers and side skirts, but out side of that, there has not been much done to this car.

His continuous’ support for Japan has been amazing. Everywhere he goes, he shares info with people and even when they are roaring up behind to knock a nice tandem run, they’ll be reminded of the disaster that occurred a few months ago. People recognize that Kaii does things only for a reason. And his reasoning for this brings people together while doing something that they love.

His wing-less S15 has got to be one of the best looking cars around the U.K. Silverstone always has a soft spot for this car and it’s driver.

Not quite sure who was in the 98′, but whoever it was, they got to know Kaii pretty well. They laid down some mint runs in their Japanese cars.

Ending this with the shot of the week, Kaii’s S15 is deadly-ish photogenic. Keep it good shape, Kaii.

Heroes of the Low.

We’ve hit New York hard in the past, but we have never hit it this hard in a while, when capturing these German rides. The Heroes of the Low has been a series that has been catching the eye of the SYDC’ readers for quite some time now. Leading the idea, DFX Irish & Unox have been experiencing nothing but hotness with their stellar creations and modifications. HOTL displays nothing but sexy rides sitting as low as possible for a nice photo to showcase. The HOTL’s have taken a VW Golf alongside a VW Bora and slamed their’ similar daily drivers and took them out for a spin on the city-locale track.

This is owned by DFX Irish. This Golf has been pushed hard, but not quite hard enough. He knows this vehicle inside and out, but he has never pushed this car to extreme limit. Irish was known for pushing JDM genre’ cars around, similar to his S14. But once he hopped into this daily driven machine, he turns into a entire different person.

These two fellas have the stance category down pack. They haven’t ceased to make these vehicle have the sickest look on the street.

One with a clean white look, and one with a colorful set of wheels to match is pretty much all you can ask for in a VW.

They finally took their rides and ran them on the straights of New York. Running full steam they entered the speed break at around 110+ mph. Accelerating quickly, Irish took the lead by a half-car length and managed to keep it for a little while. But Unox’s Bora never went away.

After a little fun on the track, they pulled the cars into the pit and called it a day, but before they could get it parked Unox lost his attention and ran into the back of Irish. Luckily it wasn’t anything serious and just a small fender scrap. They live to race these stock rides again!

Car Feature | SFX Chopsticks

You can’t spot a cleaner Holden than this. The driver, Chopsticks, has kept this car as clean and mint condition as possible. He hasn’t really had any plans to take the car for a little drift action, but you never know with  this guy. He has drove it all. Ranging from 800hp Mustangs, to 150 hp Silivas’, this fella will slide anything. And with his deep pockets, it allowed him to pick up this Australian native daily driven machine.

After a small re-spray, he has decided to go with a metal-grey with a metallic cover. This vehicle definitely has no problem in the visual aspect of the automotive district, so if we ever see him sliding this, we’ll know who it is. Nice ride, Chop.

Widebodies have been the story of the Drifting lounge for a long time now. Although most try their hardest to succeed in creating the ultimate widebody. With the skills to match Picasso, the painters of the Race/Replica Designs Section do it better than anyone else. Words from ikon313, ” This thread is for showing off your FM3 widebody designs – the place for you to share your experience, knowledge and skills about painting ingame widebody kits and car customizations with others. ” With that said, they definitely do just that. They keep painting fun, simply said.

Painted by the head man, inon313, killed this car. He paints for pure fun now, but don’t sweat to ask him to lay down some sick work for you someday. His personal slider is equipped with a sweet bodykit with a few spectacular logos to match.

Suicidal is one of the painters that you just can’t avoid to love. His work is almost always 100% accurate. He strives to make his paints to the highest quality possible, and that is exactly what he did with this Skyline R34.

Reference pics.

He goes hard whenever he gets free time to get his paint brush out. He works specially with making cars look different from their stock, manufactured versions. Noz 77 does widebody requests, so if you’re crazing something epic, he is recommended.
